When I received the order for this cake, my initial thoughts were to use my edible food printer. The thing is just as pricey as it sounds, and it works amazing… depending on the images. I searched for the perfect image but once it printed is was waaaay too light. I decided to stick with it and I am so glad I did. With that much color/ink on the wafer sheet, after letting the image lay on the buttercream the color deepened.
With that out of the way, I continued with my decorations. A blue drip here, chocolate covered strawberry there and of course a cake topper! The Cricut is my new best friend in that it takes all of 3 minutes to make a cake topper. The cake is my famous moist vanilla cake and whipped vanilla buttercream.
